A toolkit built specifically for students

Online Student Tools started from a simple frustration: most calculators built for students are either buried in ads, ask for an account before showing a result, or send text to a server for something as basic as a word count.

Every tool here is free, works without signing up, and is built to fit into how students actually work: counting words leads to estimating pages, which leads to checking formatting, which leads to citing sources. Grades roll into GPA, which converts to ECTS for students applying abroad.

Where a tool involves your own text or documents, it runs in your browser instead of on a server, wherever that's technically possible. Where a result is an estimate, like a page count or a GPA-ECTS conversion, the tool says so rather than presenting a guess as an official figure.

Online Student Tools was founded by Kristal Thapa on August 15, 2026. New tools are added as they're built and tested, not before.
